Andy Knauer

Administrative and Compliance Lead

Andy is a natural fighter of entropy. He is happiest when he is improving the processes and procedures that make a business run like a well-oiled machine. Andy is bringing his program improvement skillset to make the administrative and compliance functions at UrbanTrans enhance the productivity of his consultant colleagues. He looks forward to utilizing his own brand of behind-the-scenes magic to help UrbanTrans grow and thrive in the years to come. In particular, Andy is excited at the prospect of working with such a brilliant group of people who are doing such important and exciting work.

Andy joins UrbanTrans with ten years of program evaluation and improvement experience with the State of Colorado and an additional five years of experience as a department supervisor with a local credit union. When he is not wielding his administrative magic wand, Andy can be found playing with his two kids, building something in his woodshop, or destroying small bits of turf on the golf course.

In support of the mission and staff at UrbanTrans, Andy will be wearing a few hats. First, he will ensure that all the licensing and other compliance aspects of the business are running smoothly. Second, he will be the Human Resources leader, making sure that all staff is well looked after. Third, he will be trying to organize the administrative functions of a business with offices spread over two countries and multiple states.
